The Guest House in Kibbutz Kalia at the northern end of the Dead Sea, invites you on a real rural vacation. 

A relaxing and pampering holiday facing the Dead Sea, with breathtaking desert scenery, open spaces with lawns and childrens’ playgrounds, in the atmosphere of the original kibbutz experience.

The Kibbutz has stables and a Refet (Dairy Farm) where you can explore independently and enjoy the rural atmosphere offered by the kibbutz.

Moreover, you can take a dip in the Dead Sea from Kalia Beach – a health-dip with the feeling of being in a far-away land, you can explore the region with its fascinating sites, wonderful desert landscapes and a rich variety of experiences to choose from and enjoy. 

You won’t believe how close it actually is! Only half an hour from Jerusalem and an hour and a quarter from the bustling Tel Aviv.

You are invited to a change of atmosphere and to attain tranquility, fun and sheer pleasure, here at the Dead Sea in Kibbutz Kalia.

Erna’s Encampment

Erna Cobus  Natural-energetic-clinical diagnoses through body mapping  Desert agriculture, hospitality, training, tourism.  Beit Haglah by Jericho - Tourism  ●An ecological tourist farm promoting activity in Jericho, and open to everyone.   ●The farm grows dates, olives, and pomegranates. Olive oil, pomegranate juice and  liquor, and dates are produced. All products are natural, organic and hand crafted.  ●There is a small visitor center at the farm that tells the story of the site and the  importance of Gilgal in Israel’s history. The center can accommodate up to 22  people.  ●The farm also has an animal corner with chickens, doves, and a family of peacocks.  There are also two donkeys. Ask me if you want to ride them.  ●Come for a pleasant stay to enjoy the silence of the desert.  ●There is an event garden facing Mount Nebo, where Moses was granted a view of  the Promised Land before his death.  ●Guided and escorted tours to the holy sites in Jericho are available. Nearby  attractions include the Jericho Synagogue, Naran Synagogue, Tel Jericho, Elisha’s  Spring, tours of the biblical Gilgal, including the crossing of the Jordan River, the  antiquities of Beit Hagala, and the farm.

Salt of the Earth

The “Salt of the Earth” complex is a 20-minute drive from the Dead Sea.  A relaxing and rejuvenating vacation awaits you in this magical mountain desert  landscape.  There are 2 units. The “Masada” accommodation has 2 rooms, including a romantic  bedroom with a window offering breathtaking views.​ The “Dukhfit” accommodation is a mobile home, offering a jacuzzi with night lighting  for an intimate atmosphere.  The grass yard is child-friendly and has swings, a sandbox, and yard games, plus  wooden, metal, and stone sculptures.  There are 2 units.  Double unit - up to 4 people with a jacuzzi  Family unit - 4-5 people, suitable for a couple with 2 big children, or 3 small children  The living room has a satellite TV, and the kitchen is fully equipped.  Come and relax in the magical surroundings!
