Shoshani’s Dates

Beautiful agricultural tours south of the Dead Sea and Sodom Square settlements with art galleries and craft  workshops.​ On the agricultural tour, you’ll hear stories about the founding of the settlements and the difficulties in  successfully farming in this arid area.​ You’ll learn about the local desert flora and fauna, and the impact of the salty soil, harsh sun, and scarcity of  rainwater.​ Come to visit our private orchards and date fields.​ Furthermore, you’ll receive comprehensive explanations about dates, stop at a pepper or basil greenhouse  (self-harvesting, depending on season), and learn about vegetable and spice farming.​ During the tour, we’ll get out of the car to truly experience the sandy and arid area.​ The tour ends at our gallery where paintings by Moriah Katz, handmade wooden trays by Ronen, desert  landscape photographs and a variety of art sourced from natural materials are displayed.​ Dates, coffee, soft drinks, and snacks can be purchased there.​ You can also take part in creative workshops sourced from natural materials, and workshops on stone  painting.​ The tours are suitable for all ages and for couples, families, and groups up to 50 people.​ Team building and fun days for businesses are also welcome.
