Dani Afik - Jeep Trips

Dani Afik, a member of Kibbutz Ein Gedi and a certified tour guide, invites you on an eventful field trip.

With over 30 years’ experience and familiarity with every stone in the Judean Desert, Dani will take you in a fully equipped Landcruiser jeep, to hidden corners and places that a regular vehicle is unable to reach in the Dead Sea region.

Beyond the spectacular desert landscapes, Dani will spice-up the trip with stories about the region, the evolution of humanity in the desert, tales of religion and heritage, information about local vegetation, and he’ll shed light on the region’s unique geological phenomena.

The adventurous among you, can even spend a night with Danny out in the field, and soak up the desert experience in all its colorful shades.

Giora Eldar

Jeep tours, rappelling, challenging trips, and survival workshops.  Giora came to Arad after the army and stayed here with his wife Atlia to raise a  family. He was the commander of the Arad Rescue Unit and the deputy commander  of the Ein Gedi Rescue Unit to which he still belongs. Giora knows every stone in the  Judean desert. If you’re ever lost in the desert and need rescuing, just describe him  stones nearby you and he’ll likely know where you are!​ Giora conducts jeep tours in the Judean desert, including to Jordan. He knows every  route and every ravine, and knows where to go and when not to go. He organizes  trips including rappelling, including logistics in the field.​ He is experienced in providing equipment for people hiking the Israel National Trail  and can even organize desert bar/ bat mitzvahs, and open-air events for any group  size.​ If you staying at a “Rosh Akher,” you’ll be able to get a discount. Please coordinate in  advance as demand can be high!
