WHAT’S THERE TO EAT AT THE DEAD SEA

  • Desert. Delectable homemade baked goods in Kibbutz Ein Gedi, adjacent to the kibbutz acquisitions center. The bakery has over time become a small café, additionally offering sandwiches and fresh salads prepared onsite. And of course, as its name suggests, it offers wonderful desserts, cookies and cakes.

  • Baobar Ein Gedi is a kiosk located in the Ein Gedi Hotel lobby. Here you’ll find the café, offering a dairy menu of pasta dishes, salads, pizzas and more, alongside fresh juices, unique infusions and other options. Baobar is named for the two large baobab trees marking the location, and another smaller baobab growing right there in the bar’s center.

  • Mul HaYam Restaurant. On the Ein Bokek promenade some 30 meters from the sea, the restaurant offers Mediterranean cuisine which includes meat dishes, fish, salads, and lots of treats. Outdoor seating, air conditioned.

  • Hordus Kiosk. Choose from hamburgers and other fast foods typical of kiosks. You can also buy some grocery items there, cold drinks, and snacks. The restaurant is in Ein Bokek’s center and behind the main beach on the southern side.   • Ranch House Restaurant (Isrotel). Ranch House is in the Nevo Dead Sea Hotel, in Ein Bokek, and is part of the Isrotel chain. Just a few minutes’ walk from the tended Dead Sea beaches, the restaurant offers a range of quality meat dishes.

  • The Mexican (Tortilla). The restaurant is actually a type of fast food buffet offering traditional tortillas and other authentic Mexican foods. Located in Ein Bokek’s center, behind the main beach, it’s a place to enjoy the atmosphere of sitting under straw sunshades facing the Dead Sea. You can also opt for takeaway or eat on the grassy area between the restaurant and the beachfront.

What’s there to eat at the Dead Sea? Kikar Sdom

  • Koti’s Balcony. The restaurant is located in Moshav Neot Kikar’s swimming pool area and serves a range of fast foods and desserts, all homemade. You can sit onsite or order delivery. Book in advance and Koti will also provide catering for groups (minimum 15 persons, maximum 50). Order Koti’s amazing authentic Hungarian cooking, with goulash, kürtős and other delicious items.   • Michal: Food made with love.  If you’re staying in the Kikar Sdom area, you can order Michal’s cooking to your door. Her homestyle foods include amazing breakfasts where everything’s freshly handmade, even the bread. Special items include madfouna, a form of cooking buried in the ground and typical of nomadic desert tribes. Michal’s madfouna uses chicken and root vegetables which slowly cooks over several hours. You can also choose poikeh, and other finger-licking items.
